G Adventures is restarting its tours in Jordan after a three-month suspension caused by conflict in the Middle East.
Following the easing of travel advisories for the destination, the tour operator will resume departures beginning Aug. 1, allowing travellers to once again visit destinations including Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and the ancient city of Jerash."We’ve always been quick to return to destinations as soon as it is safe to do so, because we’ve seen time and again the vital role tourism plays in supporting local communities and livelihoods,” said Michelle Hudema, Chief Operating Officer for G Adventures.“Jordan holds a special place for us. Following our GX Summit in September 2025, we welcomed new communities and local partners into our tours and supply chain, and we’re eager to resume operations and continue creating opportunities through the power of sustainable travel. By choosing to travel to Jordan, our travellers can enjoy an unforgettable experience while helping ensure tourism continues to deliver meaningful benefits to the people and communities who depend on it,” Hudema added.The company said its September 2025 GX Summit brought together more than 700 travel advisors, suppliers, travellers and media in Jordan, generating economic activity for local communities. According to G Adventures, the event contributed to a 186% increase in travellers in the months that followed and helped expand the number of community-based experiences included in its Jordan itineraries from two to eight.Travellers returning to Jordan will help support local communities and businesses that were affected by the recent slowdown in tourism.G Adventures offers a range of itineraries across Jordan, including visits to the country's archaeological sites, desert landscapes and cultural attractions.
