Storms across the Northeast region of the United States are impacting flights at some of the biggest airports in the region, including New York’s John F. Kennedy International and Newark Liberty International airports.
According to local station News12 New Jersey, the storms came from the Midwest and intensified across the Northeast on the morning of Tuesday, July 21. Additional storms are expected through July 21 and into July 22.
Travelers heading out of JFK, Newark or LaGuardia, Reagan International, Boston and Philadelphia should allow for extra time to travel and check their airline communications in case of weather-related delays or cancellations.
