Orlando theme parks including Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld owned venues started offering free insect repellent to combat fears surrounding the Zika virus Sunday.

According to WTSP.com, amusement parks in Florida are growing more concerned about the outbreak of the Zika virus following several confirmed cases in Miami's south beach area. In total, 43 cases of the illness have been confirmed in the state.

Each of the aforementioned parks already has an extensive mosquito control program, and issuing free containers of insect repellent will act as an extra layer of protection and peace of mind for guests.

Seaworld released an official statement about the free insect repellent:

"Our parks already have robust mosquito control programs in place to ensure the health and safety of our guests, team members and animals. Out of an abundance of caution, starting today we will offer guests complimentary EPA- approved insect repellent along with other theme parks in the area. Repellent will be made available at locations throughout all our Florida parks: SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, Discovery Cove, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island. We continue to stay in contact with local, state and federal health officials for the latest updates and recommendations."

Disney also released a statement to CNN.com about efforts to stop the spread of the Zika virus:

"In an abundance of caution, we are accelerating preventative efforts throughout our property, including providing complimentary insect repellent to our guests along with helpful guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We have an extensive mosquito-prevention and monitoring program in place, and we continue to work closely with local, state and federal experts on this topic."
