On Sunday, a woman flying from Las Vegas to Oregon on an Alaska Airlines plane was allegedly molested by another woman during their flight.
According to FoxNews.com, the unidentified victim was on an Alaska Airlines flight to Portland, Oregon, when another woman-identified as Heidi McKinney-on the plane reportedly began touching the victim's breasts and genitalia.
The victim told crew members onboard the Alaska Airlines flight about the alleged sexual assault, and acknowledged that the touching was not consensual. The crew notified authorities at Portland International Airport.
When the plane landed in Portland, police met McKinney after she deplaned and arrested her on the spot, taking her into custody. McKinney was charged with third-degree sexual abuse and sent to Multnomah County jail with a bail set at $2,500.
In Oregon, the charge levied against McKinney is a Class A misdemeanor, but state prosecutors will not pursue the criminal case. Instead, the case has been handed over to United States Attorney's Office to be prosecuted at the federal level.
McKinney reportedly has a history of arrests, as she had previously been charged with drunk driving, reckless driving and being a minor in possession of alcohol.
