Travelers hoping to explore Mexico’s Baja California can take advantage of new itineraries and seasonal deals from AdventureSmith Explorations.
The small-ship line is launching two new, expanded cruises in the region for the upcoming season, which runs from November to April.
One is an 11-day cruise aboard the 66-guest Safari Voyager inspired by John Steinbeck’s “Log from the Sea of Cortez.” Called “In Steinbeck’s Wake: An Epic Voyage through the Sea of Cortez,” the voyage debuts in November. Travelers on the April 5 and April 25 departures will enjoy an exclusive tour of the Western Flyer, the fishing boat Steinbeck and Ed Ricketts used for their 1940 expedition.
The other, called “Baja California Discovery: Exploring Mexico's Gulf of California,” is an 11-day voyage aboard the 100-guest National Geographic Ventur. With National Geographic photographers and photo instructors onboard, the vessel will travel to lesser-visited sites like the Midriff Islands.
Travelers who book by the end of November can enjoy savings of up to 20 percent off, plus perks like waived solo supplements and discounts for children. The promo applies to select sailings in Baja California, Hawaii and the Galapagos Islands.
