AmaWaterways is launching a new collection of sailings designed to give travelers more time in some of Europe’s most beloved cities.
The new “City Escapes” departures are intentionally scheduled during quieter travel periods along the Seine, Rhine and Danube rivers. The voyages include additional overnight stays, more daylight sailing and 24 hours or more in key cities including Paris, Amsterdam, Vienna, Strasbourg and Budapest.
The new cruises will debut this year, with plans to expand the offerings in 2027.
Guests can further personalize their journey by booking AmaWaterways’ new pre- and post-cruise extensions in London and Rome.
For select departures booked between now and June 30, AmaWaterways is offering savings of up to $1,000 per stateroom, a free stateroom upgrade and $50 in onboard credit per guest.
“City Escapes is about experiencing Europe at its most authentic,” says Catherine Powell, chief executive officer of AmaWaterways. “We designed these journeys for travelers who want more time to explore the museums, enjoy local cuisine and walk historic streets without feeling rushed or crowded. Luxury is the gift of time. That is exactly what we aim to offer with this new program.”
