Emerald
Cruises & Tours has announced the ceremonial launch of Emerald Luna,
entering the water for the first time from the shipyard in Romania.
Designed specifically for the Seine River, the ship will
sail from Paris in March 2027. The 130-passenger vessel will feature an
intimate, contemporary design with spacious statements and suites with
all-weather balconies. Social spaces include Reflections Restaurant, Horizon
Bar & Lounge and a heated indoor pool that transforms into an evening
cinema. Emerald Lumi will also include a self-service laundry, an addition to
the new Emerald Star-Ships.

a fresh style of river
cruising to the Seine. By combining extended overnight stays in key ports
with curated local history and culinary experiences, plus a choice of active
EmeraldACTIVE excursions, this new itinerary offers a more immersive, unhurried
way to explore northern France than many traditional river itineraries,"
said Elisabeth Sadler, Vice President Product, River Cruises, Scenic Group in a
statement.
The ship will cruise an eight-day roundtrip Sensations of
the Seine & Normandy itinerary from Paris to Honfleur with overnight stays
and later departures in destinations that include Honfleur and La Roche-Guyon.
Daily guided tours feature e-bikes, hikes or kayaking allowing
guests to choose between relaxed sightseeing and more active exploration. Other
experiences include “in the footsteps of Claude Monet” in Giverny, a full-day guided
tour of the Normandy D-Day landing sites, visiting beaches, memorials and
museums from World War II and a walking tour of Honfleur with oyster tasting. Guests
can also enjoy onboard lectures to exclusive visits to a traditional Normandy
cider farm with tastings.
The 2027 President’s Cruise on Emerald Lumi brings together
a select group of guests for a curated round-trip journey. Departing August 14,
2027, the voyage explores the charming cities and historic landscapes of the
Seine.
