The Globus Family of Brands has launched a new style of touring associated with its Cosmos brand.
Cosmos Lite introduces a one-of-a-kind a la carte style of touring, combining Cosmos traditional style of touring with a personalized approach to daily activities.
The new endeavor is being introduced with 10 itineraries that allow guests to tailor their experiences to match interests and budgets.
"With the introduction of Cosmos Lite, we're giving travelers an independent touring option: A new way to see, explore and experience the world around them," said Scott Nisbet, president and CEO of the Globus family of brands. "We get them to each destination and coordinate comfortable accommodations but their days - and the activities they plan - are up to them."
Cosmos Lite vacations include:
-City-to-city transportation (deluxe motorcoaches with complimentary Wi-Fi access)
-Comfortable hotels (a base for independent exploration)
-Daily breakfasts (to power travel pursuits)
-Professional Tour Director (to point out the best sightseeing, dining and entertainment)
-CosmosGo mobile app (fuel for free time with suggestions to make the most of each day)
Sightseeing is not included and Cosmos' guests have the option to purchase as many or as few excursions that they would like. Guest can pick from activities such as a cooking class in Lisbon, a guided tour of Genoa or a bike tour of the Iron Curtain from Bratislava.
A tour director accompanies the group and provides guests with advice on what to see and do and provides advice on dining and entertainment as well. Guest can also take advantage of the new CosmosGo app to find suggestions.
"Free of commitments and full of possibilities, Cosmos Lite's á la carte touring invites travelers to design each day with free time, me time or see time," said Nisbet. "A Cosmos Lite vacation frees up days so travelers can fill them according to their interests, passions and budget, yet we include for them touring vacation essentials for ease, comfort and discovery."

-Portugal Explorer (seven days, priced from $749)

-Veneto Explorer (seven days, priced from $899)
-Danube Explorer (eight days, priced from $899)
-England Explorer (seven days, priced from $899)
-Ireland Explorer (seven days, priced from $849)
