G Adventures is giving travelers more flexibility in their travel plans with the tour operator’s Stay Flexy Adventure Plans.
The flexible booking option provides three tiers of flexibility: Flexy, Flexier and Flexiest.
“Booking an adventure should be exciting, not daunting, and these new flexible booking options provide agents with another tool to help turn ‘I’m thinking about it’ into ‘I’m booking it’. That final moment of hesitation is often driven by uncertainty, rather than a lack of desire to travel. Flex helps remove that uncertainty and offers travelers peace of mind when they lock in their adventure,” says Jeremy Brady, director of sales for USA and Latin America.
The Stay Flexy Three-Tier Program
Flexy is the brand’s new standard flexible booking option. It provides a full refund for trips departing more than 60 days after cancellation, with a Lifetime Deposit kept on file for future bookings. If Flexy travelers cancel within the 60-day window, they’ll be refunded up to 50% of their tour value, depending on when they cancel.
Flexier extends the cancellation window and adds extra perks, converting cancellation penalties into Future Travel Credits. Travelers who book with this option also get a 1GB travel eSIM, lost baggage protection of up to $500, priority service, and double the trees grown on their behalf as part of G Adventures’ carbon offset program.
Flexier travelers who need to cancel have over 60 days before their trip to enjoy a full refund, with a Lifetime Deposit kept for a future trip. If they have to cancel within 59-30 days of departure, they’ll receive a 50% refund, with the rest split between the deposit and a Future Travel Credit.
If a traveler cancels closer to departure, at 29-21 days out, they’ll receive a Lifetime Deposit and Future Travel Credit, so they don’t lose any money for a future trip.
Those who cancel within 20 days or less will retain a Lifetime Deposit but will be subject to cancellation fees.
Flexiest is for travelers who need the most flexibility amid great uncertainty. They’ll enjoy perks like a 3B eSIM, lost luggage protection up to $1,000, priority service and double the trees grown on their behalf, along with an extended protection window.
Their cancellation requirements are as follows: they’ll receive a full refund with a Lifetime Deposit on file for cancellations 60 days or more in advance. They’ll receive a 50% refund, and the remainder split between a travel credit and deposit for travel canceled 59-21 days in advance.
For last-minute cancellations made 20-5 days before departure, they’ll receive a deposit and Future Travel Credit, protecting all the traveler’s spent money for a future trip. Cancellation fees apply only to cancellations within 4 days or less of departure.
Future travel credits are valid for 24 months.
