G Adventures is expanding its family travel offerings, expanding its National Geographic journeys to include children or grandchildren between the ages of 7 to 17 years.
National Geographic Family Journeys with G Adventures will be a line of 12 specially designed, small-group tours that will be on sale starting May 7, 2019.
Ben Perlo, U.S. managing director for G Adventures noted that the move to add more family-specific programming comes at the right time.
"This new program of trips is perfect for adventure-loving families who are looking to discover the world together," said Perlo. "The newly designed itineraries have been developed from scratch to inspire travelers of all ages to experience each destination's diverse characteristics, from wildlife and conservation to history and culture, plus exploration, photography and storytelling."
Details of the program have not yet been revealed nor have destinations but guests should expect a high-quality experience that matches the already robust offerings from G Adventures partnership with National Geographic.
"All our groups are made up of an international mix of travelers, giving families the opportunity to connect not just with each other, but with their fellow travelers and the local people they meet along the way. As is the case with all G Adventures tours, we encourage interactions with local people, and ensure as much money as possible stays in the communities we visit," added Perlo.
Travelers and travel agents excited to find out the latest details on this new family offering can keep tabs on this "coming soon" website.
"National Geographic Expeditions is excited to expand our partnership with G Adventures to include this new line of family trips," said Heather Heverling, National Geographic Senior Vice President of Product Management. "Travel is one of the most rewarding and enriching experiences a family can have together and we are thrilled to announce 12 new adventures to our global family of travelers in 2020."
