Southeast Asia covers a lot of territory, so for those who want to fashion a trip there and hit some of the best locales, the Telegraph has some tips for travelers.

Thailand is hard to beat, noted Cobaj. Those who want to tackle the country in one fell swoop can do a tour with On the Go, Cobaj suggested.

Sealing the deal is an overnight cruise on a traditional wooden boat in Halong Bay," writes Cobaj.

For those looking to visit Vietnam with the family, try Family Adventure Company's 15-day Vietnam Family Holiday.
"Adventurous clans can swim off from their boat in island-studded Halong Bay, cycle through Hoi An's rice paddies and shrimp ponds to Cua Dai beach, take an overnight train to Da Nang and ride a sampan (rowing boat) in the Mekong Delta," wrote Cobaj.
