B-Corp certified tour operator Intrepid Travel is offering a selection of new Premium Walking and Trekking trips, which provide increased comfort for active travelers.
The ten new itineraries in the selection offer premium service, higher category accommodations and exclusive local experiences, all with a focus towards walking and trekking.
According to Intrepid, the premium travel style is its fastest growing category since it launched in 2022, while Walking and Trekking sales have surged nearly ninefold. The new premium trips include destinations from Vietnam and Nepal to the Middle East, Africa, Peru and beyond.
All of them have an average of ten travelers per trip. Departures begin January 2026.
"In recent years we've seen growing demand for active travel, as well as rising interest in the elevated stays offered on our Premium trips," said Erica Kritikides, General Manager of Experiences at Intrepid Travel. "Our new Premium Walking and Trekking range is a natural and exciting evolution — bringing together the best of both worlds for travelers who embody Intrepid's adventurous spirit but don't want to compromise on comfort.”
One of the new trips is the Premium Walking and Hiking in Jordan tour, a 7-day trip that includes hikes through the Dana Biosphere Reserve and into Petra, while staying in eco-lodges and luxury desert camps along the way.
Closer to home, travelers on the three-day Premium Hiking in the Grand Canyon trip will hike some of the best trails in the scenic national park and stay at the El Tovar Hotel.
