Caribbean excursion company Island Routes will expand operations
to St. Vincent and the Grenadines in 2024, offering 29 private experiences from
adventure-themed activities to cultural pursuits, according to company
officials.
Composed of 32 islands and cays of which nine are inhabited, the archipelago’s
diverse flora and fauna, which includes white- and black-sand
beaches, protected coves and volcanic mountains, makes St. Vincent and the
Grenadines “an incredible destination to discover,” said David
Black, Island Routes’ head of global sales.
“This expansion is not just a new destination in our quiver,” said
Black, “but an opportunity for our travel advisor partners to immerse their
clients into the heart of the Caribbean and create immersive moments that
resonate with the true spirit of travel.”
Island Routes’ St. Vincent and Grenadines experiences will include
a “Montreal Gardens & Botanical Gardens Experience” highlighted by a tour of
the country’s Botanical Gardens, the oldest botanical garden in the Western
Hemisphere, followed by a scenic drive through Kingstown, St. Vincent’s capital.
A “Whale & Dolphin Watching Experience” incorporates
exploration of the archipelago’s leeward coastline while glimpsing pilot,
humpback, or sperm whales at play. The tour ends with a cruise along the
black sand-lined beach of Mt. Wynne, the iconic filming location of Pirates of
the Caribbean.
A five-hour “Mustique & Bequia Island Hopping Experience” begins with snorkeling at Petit Nevis and continues
to Mustique, where Island Routes guides unveil the island’s rich history and
iconic residences.
Guests can also opt for an immersive snorkeling experience in
Britannia Bay, after which travelers explore Bequia for lunch at Princess
Margaret’s Beach.
