The Travel Leaders Network announced Friday it added industry giant World Travel Holdings to its membership group.
The partnership between the most extensive travel agency network in North America and a leading distributor of cruises, villas, resort vacations, car rentals, resort day passes and luxury travel services is a seismic partnership in the industry.
"We couldn't be more pleased that World Travel Holdings, one of the most respected names in travel, has become a member of Travel Leaders Network, which marks the first time ever the company has joined an agency network," Travel Leaders Network and Leisure Group president John Lovell said in a statement.
"As a powerhouse in the travel industry that serves as home to a vast number of travel agency franchisees and home-based advisors, as well as a multitude of highly recognizable brands, World Travel Holdings clearly acknowledged that Travel Leaders Network was the partner of choice, particularly given our scale and unique ability to integrate their immense cruise and tour sales volume," Lovell continued.
World Travel Holdings operates more than 35 brands, while also running travel agency franchise and host agency programs under the Dream Vacations/CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. brands, respectively.
