Travel Insured International (TII), a 32-year-old U.S. insurance and trip protection firm, has embedded its insurance plans into the CMS platform Tern, providing advisors and agencies with a seamless way in which to provide their clients with coverage tailored to meet their particular needs.
Integration and Protection
“Travel advisors and agencies are at the heart of our business at Travel Insured International, and we’re committed to making it easier for them to help protect their consumer clients,” said TII President Barbra Taylor.
Another major selling point, she added, is that TII is a unit of Crum & Foster, a U.S. property, casualty, and accident and health insurer.
“As part of C&F, TII is advancing a broader travel insurance distribution strategy by integrating our protection into the platforms and workflows advisors already use every day,” Taylor said. added. “This partnership with Tern brings that commitment to life.”
Streamlining Insurance Sales for Advisors
The TII-Tern partnership was formed at a time when an increasing number of advisors are stressing the importance of travel insurance to their clients.
“Travel insurance should protect your clients and grow your revenue. It shouldn’t eat up 10-20 minutes of re-typing trip details into a separate portal every time you want to offer coverage,” said Tern CEO and Co-Founder David Shull
“We believe technology should support your business, not add friction to it,” he added. “By incorporating TII’s travel insurance plans directly into our platform, advisors can quote and offer coverage as a natural part of building each trip – helping protect travelers and creating a more efficient workflow without ever leaving Tern.”
