Traveling away from home can be fun, but it can also be unfamiliar and perhaps even uncomfortable.

Packing everything you might need to make the venture better is a lot to keep track of, but there are some products-from electronic devices to sleep aids-that people swear by and won't leave home without.

Essential Oils

India K. Robinson, president & CEO of The H.I.S Agency, LLC in District Heights, Maryland, cannot travel without Immunity Essential Oil Blend from 21 Drops.

"Traveling can be stressful; Airports and airplanes expose you to all sorts of germs, and with changes in the climate at your destination, all these things can take a toll on your immune system," said Robinson. "The 21 Drops Immunity essential oil blend helps build up my resistance to these changes. I love to inhale the scent and apply it to my pulse points in-flight and throughout my travel to assist with staying healthy while on the move."

Electronic Accessories

Many of us would be lost without our electronic devices.

"I bought a five-port USB charger that lives in my suitcase because I got tired of having to find multiple plugs to charge multiple devices when I travel," said Helen Prochilo of Promal Vacations in Long Beach, New York.

Dana S. Johnson never travels without a power strip surge protector.

"I find many boutique hotels don't have many outlets and I need to be able to charge all my devices at once when I'm in the room," said Johnson, Adventure Concierge for Open Leaf Excursions in Waukesha, Wisconsin. "It also protects my equipment from the often unstable electrical grid of various countries."

Casey Carr carries a Skyroam Wifi Hotspot. "I stay connected and can use my Google maps in foreign cities," said Carr, General Manager at Sharon Carr Travel in Dallas, Texas.

Gum

"I cannot live without my EarPlanes and a pack of gum," said Kim DalPonte of Pixie Dust & Paradise Travel in Chicago, Illinois. "My ears pop very easily when flying, so those are must-haves when I travel."

Poo Products

"This may sound strange, but after traveling to Morocco earlier this year, my must-have travel item is now a purse-sized Poo-pourri," said Stephanie VL Brown, owner of Wanderlust Travels & Adventures in New York City.

"Stomach issues are inconvenient no matter when they pop up, but when it happens while are traveling in a foreign land where you are ingesting new foods and beverages, well, I am sure you can imagine the additional embarrassment and discomfort that comes along with the territory."

Brown admits that this happened to her when the motorcoach stopped at a rest area on her way from Marrakech to Casablanca.

"Having the Poo-pourri on hand helped to keep the embarrassment level at a minimum," she said.
