CheapCaribbean is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week in May by giving away free flights to 50 teachers and their plus ones.
Over the last year, there have been over 400,000 teachers who walked off the job in strikes or lockouts, with nearly two-thirds of educators finding work "always" or "often" stressful, twice the rate of other workers.
Research also showed that one in five teachers in the United States work a second job, and another 94 percent spend their own money on school supplies. With all of that stress, educators need a vacation.
"At CheapCaribbean, we believe everyone deserves a beach vacation and we couldn't think of anyone more deserving than teachers," CheapCaribbean Senior Director of Marketing Dana Studebaker said in a statement. "Through this initiative, we wanted to pay it forward to those teachers who sacrifice so much and ask for very little in return."
To qualify for free flights, teachers must sign up to be a member of CheapCaribbean's Beach4Teach Club by May 9. Members will receive an email to register for free flights to Mexico and the first 50 will be in-flight to the beach in no time.
To be eligible for the free flights, teachers must book a six-plus night to a Zoetry, Breathless Secrets, Reflect, Now or Sunscape resort in Mexico and travel between July 10 and December 31, 2019. Select blackout dates apply.
