Delta Vacations, the airline's branded vacation package product operated by MLT Vacations, has expanded its relationship with the Globus family of brands by adding Asia tours to its product line.
Under the terms of the partnership, Globus is now the primary provider of Asia tours for Delta Vacations.
The partnership between MLT and Globus started in fall of 2010, making Globus and Cosmos tours, Monograms independent packages and Avalon Waterways river cruises available for booking through MLT brands.
In the initial roll-out the Globus product line available through MLT included Cosmos economy brand escorted tours of Europe and Globus escorted tours in Europe, South America, India, Africa and the Middle East. It also included Monograms packages in a variety of destinations and river cruises and small ship cruises from Avalon.
Last fall Delta Vacations added Globus tours of New Zealand and Australia and as of last week added Globus tours of Asia beyond India.
"We have been working for some time to grow our relationship with the Globus family of brands," said MLT Vacations President John Caldwell. "We are thrilled to now be able to bring our travel agent partners all of the richness, diversity and experience that the Globus family of brands has to offer in Asia and around the world."
Delta Vacations has also expanded its selection of the Avalon Waterways product line, with more programs in South America as well as Asia, including Mekong River cruises through Vietnam and Cambodia. Newly available in South America are the 11-day Amazon River cruise, and Galapagos small ship cruises.
The expanded Delta Vacations-Avalon selection also includes river cruises in the U.S., including an 11-day Chicago to St. Paul, Minn. fall foliage cruise, and a 12-day Nashville to New Orleans American heartland cruise.
