Maui Family Fun Guide

The time to plan spring and summer family travel is now.
And what better destination than Hawaii?
GOGO Vacations knows that Hawaii is a stunning destination for the family vacation, so they have offered up tips for exploring the popular island of Maui.
For starters, you need to know where to stay before you visit.
The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa has 40 oceanfront acres, which helps make the resort’s superb views. The resort also features daily penguin feedings!
The Fairmont Kea Lani recently underwent a $70 million renovation. The all-suite and villa resort has spacious rooms the parents will love, and two activity pools connected to a 140-foot waterslide that the kids will go crazy for.
The Westin Ka’anapali has villas with full kitchens and signature beds, as well as a recreation lagoon so awesome both kids and adults will love it.
Any of the resorts would make for a fun family getaway.
Once you settle on a place to stay then you can plan fun activities for the entire family.
An authentic luau is a must when visiting Hawaii. And in Maui, the Old Lahaina Luau is one of the best places to experience it.

Start off by watching the ceremonial kalua pig be unearthed from the “imu,” which is a traditional Hawaiian oven.
You’ll then be able to “dig into a feast for the ages, including the Pua’a Kalua (Kalua Pig), Lau lau (pork wrapped in Lu’au leaf), Poke ‘Ahi (marinated raw ahi tuna), He’e Poke (marinated cooked octopus), Big Island sweet potato, Pipi Ko’ala (grilled beef steak), and other delectable dishes,” per the GOGO Vacations blogger.
Another great activity for the whole family is the Atlantis Submarine. Take a dive 100-feet below the surface on a technologically-advanced sea vessel. Don’t’ worry, everyone will be safe and comfortable as they marvel at the ocean views out their window.
And last but not least, add whale watching to the family’s vacation list. Thousands of humpback whales make their way to Hawaii from December through May.
Seeing such majestic creatures in all their glory will help create some amazing family memories.
