Celestyal has partnered with hospitality tech company SuitePad to bring in-cabin tablet technology to guests aboard Celestyal Journey, marking one of the first deployments of SuitePad's platform in the cruise industry.
The tablets are now live across all 630 cabins on the ship, giving passengers a single digital hub to manage their onboard experience. Rather than sifting through printed schedules and paper flyers, travelers can use the devices to browse daily programs, book excursions, explore dining options and access onboard services — all from the comfort of their cabin.
The move reflects Celestyal's broader push to modernize the guest experience through technology. Lee Haslett, Chief Commercial Officer at Celestyal, noted that the tablets are designed to give guests more control while creating more seamless ways to connect them with the ship's offerings. The cruise line sees the rollout as a direct investment in guest satisfaction across its fleet.
For SuitePad, the collaboration represents a significant expansion beyond its traditional hotel market. CEO Moritz von-Petersdorf-Campen said the company is applying its hospitality communication expertise to the cruise environment, where clear and timely information delivery is just as critical as it is on land. The platform is designed to keep both passengers informed and crew teams better connected with the people they serve.
The partnership positions Celestyal Journey as an early adopter of smart cabin technology in the cruise sector, blending the familiar comforts of hotel-style service with the unique demands of life at sea.
