Contiki, a leading travel brand for 18-35 year-olds, is expanding its Asia portfolio with a collection of new small-group tours in Nepal, offering young travelers a blend of Himalayan trekking, wildlife encounters and cultural immersion.
The launch responds directly to shifting travel preferences among Gen Z and millennial audiences. According to Contiki's 2025 Voice of a Generation survey, more than half of respondents said a balance of experiences while on vacation is essential rather than optional. Two-thirds named hiking as their top active travel pursuit and nearly one-quarter identified Nepal as a dream destination for that type of trip.
"They want to be active and explore, connect more authentically with local cultures, and ultimately return home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated," said Tom O'Hara, Head of Brand at Contiki.
All three new itineraries are capped at 16 travelers and depart from Kathmandu, giving each group an intimate, guided experience through some of Nepal's most iconic landscapes.

The 10-day Kathmandu, Chitwan & Hiking tour moves from Nepal's bustling capital to Chitwan National Park before winding through pine forests and mountain villages, with stops at sacred sites like Namobuddha and a sunrise viewing in Nagarkot.
The six-day Kathmandu & Chitwan National Park itinerary pairs a guided exploration of Kathmandu Durbar Square and the ancient Swayambhunath Stupa with a visit to Chitwan, one of the last refuges for endangered one-horned rhinos and home to Royal Bengal tigers and Asian elephants.

Rounding out the new offerings, the five-day Hiking the Kathmandu Valley tour leads travelers through Shivapuri National Park, up to the hilltop Kali Mandir temple and past sweeping Himalayan views before returning to the capital.
All three trips are available now through Contiki.com.
