Looking for a tropical vacation?

Funjet Vacations offers getaways to Jamaica for travelers of all types.

Whether you're traveling with the family, a group of friends, on a couple's trip or even for your wedding, Jamaica is an excellent destination for everyone.

A small island that spans 4,240 square miles, Jamaica has been satisfying wanderlust for many. It's a magical place surrounded by so much natural beauty in the Caribbean.

For starters, the people you'll meet are exceptionally friendly and full of love.

"My first time staying at Royalton Negril on the gorgeous beach of Bloody Bay, I was welcomed by friendly staff and made instant friends who made me feel like we had known each other a lifetime," a Funjet Vacations blogger noted from her recent trip.

The people of Jamaica rely on tourism, so ensuring you have a fun, safe journey is important to them. Engage in conversation with them, learn new things and you'll have a new friend for life.

The culture and music are also major aspects of Jamaica that make it a worthwhile destination. There's a great deal of history on the island.

Bob Marley helped put the rhythms of Jamaica on the map, but prior to his success and rise to national recognition, reggae wasn't the main style of music.

"The first style of music to originate on the island was called mento, expressed acoustically through instruments like the guitar, banjo, flutes, homemade bamboo saxophones, clarinets, and a rumba box."

It eventually molded into forms of ska and reggae and what we know today.

It's near impossible to listen to such beautiful music and not be able to dance. Whether you're on the beach or in the club, there's always a good time to be had when music is playing in Jamaica.

There are struggling communities on the island though, so it's important to give what you can to help others. Funjet Vacations supports the Sandals Foundation, which aims to "empower community programs that tackle issues like violence and poverty, develop educational programs, and help to preserve Jamaica's delicate reefs, marine life, beaches, trees, and flora."
