Bowman’s Travel Brief: Let the Movies Pick Your Next Trip

The Oscars came and went on Sunday, with the movie “Oppenheimer” dominating the awards.

If you’ve seen the movie, which is about the man leading the charge for the United States making of the atomic bomb, chances are the details of the history captivated you throughout.

Or if you’re like me, it was the scenery shots of Los Alamos, New Mexico that took your breath away.

“Oppenheimer” was a phenomenal movie and deserving of its Best Picture win at the Oscars. But going into the movie I certainly didn’t think I’d be blown away with all the scenes featuring the beauty of New Mexico.

The power that movies (and television) have in driving wanderlust to people around the world is something to behold.

The right shots can steal the show and do significant wonders for a destination’s tourism.
