Last week, TIME unveiled its annual list of the 100 most influential companies in the world.
It featured travel-related brands on it: Intrepid Travel, SpaceX, Disney, Eviation Aircraft and ZeroAvia.
Aviation innovators, a tour company and the House of Mouse. Not surprising at all to see Disney here as well as those reaching for space and working to build zero-emissions planes. Intrepid Travel was highlighted for its environmentally and socially responsible options, which is fantastic.
Of course, these are not the only brands making an influence in the travel industry.
And while I could list off several more impactful companies in travel and tourism, to me, the most influential people in the industry are not on the supplier side.
It’s the travel advisor.
They are the ones helping shape the mind of the consumer. They are the ones who can guide the dollars into their preferred suppliers' bank accounts.
The travel advisor is the true influencer in travel.
