Bowman’s Travel Brief: Self-Service Airport Screening

This takes self-checkout to a whole new level.

Pretty soon some of us will be doing self-screening at the airport. Technology is amazing, isn’t it?

In January at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, the TSA is rolling out a new prototype for passenger self-service screening that can be used by PreCheck passengers.

It sounds really cool, so I fully expect the number of people using PreCheck to increase should this be the success I hope it will be.

Imagine these in Atlanta, LAX, the Chicago airports and all the NYC area airports.

If it can truly speed up the process this will encourage even more travelers to pay the cost for PreCheck.
