What stood out to you as the best of the best for 2023?
It’s been a whirlwind of a year, with devastating news impacting travel like more war, deadly fires, and earthquakes.
But in the darkest of times, it’s always important to focus on the good as much as possible.
Good news like the travel advisor resurgence, as the demand for travel advisors continues to rise. Also, the cruise industry’s bounce back with cruise lines reporting record profits at times in 2023.
Plus, how great was it to see the government stepping up and pushing for the removal of hidden and junk fees, as well as holding airlines accountable to make sure to fairly compensate passengers for flight delays and cancellations.
Take a look at your personal 2023 travel season and be sure to focus on all the positive things that took place this year.
What was your favorite destination you visited in 2023? For me, it was experiencing Portugal for the first time.
What was the best thing you ate during your travels this year? Personally, it’s a three-way tie between the Pasteis de Nata custard tart in Portugal, the steak and fries at Larimar in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and the She Crab Soup at Fleet Landing in Charleston, South Carolina.
