The Super Bowl always delivers on quality entertainment for the masses, whether you’re a fan of the actual football, the half time show, the commercials, or just the food that comes with it all.
I love each of those, but the football is third for me. I honestly enjoy the commercials more than the game, and we all know food is the number one choice for me (side note: I made homemade ranch last night with air fryer hot wings, so delish!).
I get doubly excited when the commercial turns out to be one from the travel industry.
The big one last night was MSC Cruises, which hired celebrities Drew Barrymore and Orlando Bloom to highlight what the cruise line's new flagship MSC World America has to offer.
Cruise lines and TV commercials go hand in hand, so it’s no surprise to see at least one company spending multi-millions on a commercial for the most watched event on TV.
Booking.com, Universal Orlando, Disney World also had commercials for the big game.
I’d love to see more, but considering the average cost for a 30-second commercial this year was close to $8 million I’m not surprised we only got a few.
The American Society of Travel Advisors capitalized on this time period of commercial excitement to launch two TV ads last week to promote the use of working with Verified Travel Advisors through VeriVacation.
Maybe one day we’ll get a fully focused travel advisor commercial for the Super Bowl.
