Memorial Day Weekend and the unofficial start of summer are nearly here and the list of stellar destinations available is seemingly endless as the world has reopened post-pandemic. 

Nonetheless, many travelers will opt for a domestic getaway this summer. From the Hawaiian Islands to the Big Apple, there is no shortage of possibilities but some stand out in terms of offering vacationers the most bang for their buck in 2023. 

Personal finance website WalletHub recently developed a ranking of the cheapest U.S. destinations that are also the easiest to reach, analyzing 100 of the largest metro areas across 41 key indicators, including factors such as the cheapest flight, the number of attractions, summer weather, safety and the average price of a two-person meal, among others.
