This updated report identifies practices and policies for the most popular Caribbean destinations, including links to updates for countries that are not yet accepting guests but are expected to re-open to U.S. travelers. Use this guide to plan your clients' well-deserved Caribbean getaway!

Entry procedure: Visitors must submit a travel authorization form and submit proof of a negative rt-PCR test performed three to five days prior to arrival and proof of health/travel insurance policy.

Entry procedure: Arriving travelers required to complete Health Declaration form and present proof of negative rt-PCR test acquired within seven days of travel. Visitors subject to temperature checks and assessment for symptoms on arrival. All guests are required to stay at a certified accommodation property.

Travel insurance: Not required.

Aruba

Border Status: Open to U.S. and Canadian travelers.

Pre-entry negative COVID-19 PCR test proof: Strongly encouraged.

COVID-19 testing on arrival: Required for travelers who do not provide negative test result prior to arrival.

Entry procedure: Travelers required to complete Embarkation/Disembarkation card between 72 and four hours prior to travel. U.S. visitors may take PCR test the airport in Aruba for a $75 fee or upload a negative test result taken within 72 hours of travel at least 12 hours prior to departure. Travelers who opt for on-arrival airport testing must quarantine at their hotel until results are received. Travelers who tests positive will be placed in isolation until testing negative.

Health/travel insurance: Aruba Travel Insurance must be purchased within 72 hours of departure; at cost of $30 per person for travelers age 15 and older.

The Bahamas

Pre-entry negative COVID-19 PCR test proof: Yes.

COVID-19 testing on arrival: No.

Entry procedure: Travelers required to complete online Bahamas Health Travel Visa application and submit proof of a negative PCR test taken five days prior to arrival. Travelers whose stay will exceed five days must take a Covid-19 rapid antigen test on day five.

Health/travel insurance: Travelers required to opt-in for Bahamas travel insurance during Visa application process.

Barbados

Pre-entry negative COVID-19 PCR test proof: Yes.

COVID-19 testing on arrival: Random rapid antigen tests will be performed on select passengers.

Entry procedure: U.S. travelers required to complete online Immigration and Customs form 24 hours prior to arrival in Barbados and submit proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival. U.S. travelers may test in-home via Stage Zero Life Sciences. Visitors required to take a rapid antigen test upon arrival, quarantine for five nights at an approved hotel, villa or guesthouse and take a second PCR test within the same period. Travelers who test negative may move about Barbados.

Belize

Pre-entry negative COVID-19 PCR test proof: Yes.

COVID-19 testing on arrival: Possible for travelers who show symptoms. A $50 rapid PCR test will be administered at the traveler's expense.

Entry procedure: Travelers required to download a Belize Health App and complete the required information and submit proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours of their flight. Visitors must book a stay at a Gold Standard hotel and present confirmation on arrival. A negative result will confirm travelers for Belize's "fast track" arrivals process.

Travel insurance: Not required.

British Virgin Islands

Pre-entry negative COVID-19 PCR test proof: Yes.

COVID-19 testing on arrival: Yes.

Entry procedure: Visitors required to register via BVI Gateway portal 48 hours prior to departure and obtain Traveller Authorization Certificate. Travelers must submit proof of negative PCR test taken within five days of arrival and medical insurance covering COVID-19. Visitors will undergo health screening at the Terrance Lettsome airport Welcome Center, take a PCR test and download a contact-tracing app. Approved transportation will shuttle visitors to certified accommodations. Guests will quarantine for four days then take a PCR test. Travelers who test negative are permitted to visit designated locations.

Travel insurance: Required, providing coverage for COVID-19.

Cayman Islands

Border Status: Currently closed to U.S. and Canadian travelers. The reopening will occur in phases; U.S. visitors will be required to apply via Travel Cayman Portal to receive pre-travel approval when reopening occurs.

Entry procedure: Travelers required to complete the Digital Immigration card via the Curacao Entry Portal and digitally complete the Passenger Locator Card within 48 hours of departure. Visitors must submit proof of a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of travel and carry printed test documentation.

Travel insurance: Coverage for medical care and additional costs required.

Dominican Republic

Pre-entry negative COVID-19 PCR test proof: Not required.

COVID-19 testing on arrival: Rapid Breathalyzer-style test will be performed on randomly selected travelers.

Entry procedure: All travelers will receive temperature checks upon arrival while randomly selected travelers receive rapid Breathalyzer-style test. Travelers who test positive are required to quarantine in a designated hotel/resort area and undergo regular testing until symptoms cease.

Travel insurance: The Dominican Republic is providing free health and travel insurance coverage through March 31 covering hospitalization for coronavirus contracted within the country. Telemedicine services, costs for extended hotel stays and airline ticket changes also included.

Dominica

Entry procedure: Travelers must present clearance to travel obtained via Discover Dominica website within 24hours of departure. Visitors will undergo health assessment and temperature check on arrival. Visitors require to quarantine at a certified "Safe in Nature" property.

Grenada

Entry procedure: Travelers must complete and submit a Health Declaration form at least one week prior to travel and download Grenada's Contract Tracing App prior to departure. Visitors required to book minimum seven-night stay at certified "Pure Safe" hotel or resort accommodations. Visitors must quarantine at their accommodations for the first four days of their visit. A PCR test will be administered on or after day five by the Ministry of Health at a cost of $150 to be paid online prior to travel.

Puerto Rico

COVID-19 testing on arrival: No.

Entry procedure: Arriving travelers must complete online Travel Declaration Form from the Puerto Rico Health Department, show proof of a negative molecular COVID-19 test. Travelers who arrive without proof of a negative test result are required to self-quarantine at your expense for either 14 days or the duration of your trip whichever is shorter.

Travel insurance: Not required.

Jamaica

Pre-entry negative COVID-19 test proof: Required within two to five days of travel.

COVID-19 testing on arrival: No.

Entry procedure: Travelers are required to submit Travel Authorization document no more than five days prior to arrival. Travelers will be notified of approval to enter Jamaica via email and will be required to present their authorization at check-in to board their departing flight. Visitors also required to present proof of a negative Covid-19 or antigen test at a lab approved by the World Health Organization no more than five days prior to departure and provide the test results at check-in.

Travel insurance: Mandatory "Jamaica Cares" coverage required for non-Jamaican passport holders for $40 per person, payable upon Travel Authorization approval.

Entry procedure: Visitors required to submit proof of a negative nasopharyngeal RT-PCR test result 72 hours prior to departure. Travelers must also complete an online KNA travel form; approved travelers will receive letters authorizing entry which must be presented when boarding departure flights. Visitors must also secure a confirmed booking at a "Travel Approved" hotel.

Saint Lucia

COVID-19 testing on arrival: Required for visitors showing symptoms on arrival.

Entry procedure: Travelers must complete pre-arrival Registration Form. Arriving passengers will undergo screening and temperature checks. Symptomatic passengers will be isolated and tested. Travelers testing positive will be transferred to the Respiratory Hospital for treatment and care at their cost. Others will be transferred by certified taxi to approved COVID-19 accommodation. Guests are required to remain on property except to participate in hotel-booked water-based excursions.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Entry procedure: Travelers required to complete and submit "VINCY" coronavirus questionnaire form online via the SVG government website or on flight prior to arrival. Visitors must arrive with proof of a negative COVID-19 test performed within 72 hours of arrival. Travelers required to quarantine for 14 days at a Tourism Authority-approved hotel at their cost and must arrive with proof of a fully paid reservation. Travelers will be retested between day four and day seven of their quarantine.

Sint Maarten (St. Maarten and St. Martin)

Travelers may submit results from FDA-approved rapid antigen tests including tests with Emergency Use Authorization but not including at-home tests. Visitors will undergo temperature checks upon arrival.
