I always wanted to be a flight attendant, but when I inquired about schooling in 1982 you had to be at least 5' 8"! I am only 5-foot tall, so that was not an option for me.
As an alternative, I decided to attend Travel School to become a Travel Agent. I have always had a strong desire to see the world and have amazing experiences.
When I decided to start working for myself, rather than someone else, I had more opportunity to get out there and experience firsthand what destinations had to offer. In doing so, I have educated myself on a continual basis by going and doing things to broaden my travel scope, as well as attending specialized training to help me grow my business and serve my clients better.
The best advice I've ever been given? Take risks! You never know what you can do until you put yourself out there!
When it comes to your business, BE SELFISH. You worry about YOU and follow the paths that will get you where you want to go. Your path may not look like everyone else's, but you do what you're passionate about and you will never "work" a day in your life!
