Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members who dream of reaching far-flung paradisiacal shores on their next vacation are now in luck.

The U.S. carrier has just launched its new Global Getaways program, available exclusively to its loyalty plan participants, which offers rewards travel for up to 50 percent off of the usual redemption rates when customers book travel to a select set of destinations aboard Alaska’s global partner airlines.

The list of international destinations on which the offer is available will be shuffled up four times per year, so there will be a new list of amazing locales to use your rewards points on each quarter.

For this, the program’s first offering, customers can redeem their miles at reduced rates throughout the month of April via Alaska’s website for travel from this fall, from September 1 through November 30, to any among a collection of exotic, sun-drenched beach escapes.

These reduced rewards flights are discounted automatically when you visit alaskaair.com, and you can find them easily by searching for flights to any of the specified eligible destinations and checking the “Use Miles” function.

According to Travel + Leisure, travelers can also include a single stopover of up to 14 days’ duration as part of these overseas itineraries, extending the value of their discounted fares even further by essentially enfolding two trips into one.

These one-way redemptions are available in economy and premium economy cabins aboard Alaska’s various partner airlines:

  • Tahiti (French Polynesia): now starting at 20,000 miles instead of 30,000
  • Nadi (Fiji): now starting at 20,000 miles instead of 37,500
  • Nassau (Bahamas): now starting at 15,000 miles instead of 17,500
  • Zanzibar (Tanzania): now starting at 30,000 miles instead of 42,500
  • Malé (Maldives): now starting at 30,000 miles instead of 42,500
  • Bali/Denpasar (Indonesia): now starting at 30,000 miles instead of 42,500

“That once-in-a-lifetime trip is even closer with our quarterly Global Getaways promotion for discounted award travel to fabulous, far-flung locales,” said Brett Catlin, vice president of loyalty, alliances and sales at Alaska Airlines. “We’re continuing to invest in making Mileage Plan the most rewarding loyalty program with the industry’s most valuable currency.”

Alaska’s partner airlines include 24 oneworld alliance member carriers, as well as additional global airlines that include Air Tahiti Nui, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Qantas,  Qatar Airways, STARLUX more. Travel in any class of service with all of these partners can be booked directly through Alaska’s own website.

There are also special benefits to purchasing your tickets with partner airlines through Alaska’s website, including:

  • Earn a mile for each mile flown with Alaska Airlines and its partners
  • You earn at least 100 percent of the miles flown as elite qualifying miles when flying with Alaska and its partners (providing a quicker path to Mileage Plan MVP elite status)
  • All flights purchased with the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature credit card at alaskaair.com—including partner flights—earn three miles for every dollar spent
