Travelers searching for affordable flights for a warm weather getaway are in luck: Low-cost carrier Allegiant Air is launching eight new flights to Florida from the Northeast and Midwest.
Each of the new routes connect travelers to four of Florida’s most popular leisure destinations, including Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, St. Pete, and Punta Gorda.
The new flights launch this fall, and one-way fares start as low as $59. Those affordable prices will no doubt be a boon for budget travelers during a time when airfares continue to climb amid looming aviation fuel shortages.
"We're excited to announce these new routes and believe it is an important time for Allegiant to increase travel options in these markets," said Drew Wells, Allegiant's chief commercial officer. "Our mission is to offer service where it is needed most, and these additions ensure that affordable fares can remain available to consumers despite industry changes."
Among the first routes to launch will be service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport International Airport (FLL) from four cities:
- Boston (BOS) beginning October 1, 2026, with fares starting at $79
- Omaha (OMA) beginning October 2, 2026, with fares starting at $79
- Pittsburgh (PIT) beginning October 2, 2026, with fares starting at $59
- Kansas City (MCI) beginning October 2, 2026, with fares starting at $79
St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) will see two new routes as part of Allegiant’s fall expansion:
- Philadelphia (PHL) beginning October 2, 2026, with fares starting at $59
- Columbia, Missouri (COU), beginning November 19, 2026, with fares starting at $69
Orlando-Sanford International Airport (SFB) and Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) will each see one new route:
- Service between Orlando (SFB) and Trenton, New Jersey (TTN), begins October 2, 2026, with fares starting at $59
- Service between Punta Gorda (PGD) and La Crosse, Wisconsin (LSE) begins October 1, 2026, with fares starting at $79
Fares on all of the new Florida-bound routes are currently on sale on Allegiant’s website.
