On American Airlines flights this fall, travelers will be offered a new sweet treat.
The Fort Worth-based carrier has just announced it will add Tate’s Bake Shop chocolate chip cookies to its lineup of complimentary snacks on afternoon and evening flights in economy class.
“As we looked at our snack offerings, we wanted to take the time to get this refresh right by listening to customer feedback and understanding what customers value most,” said Heather Garboden, American’s chief customer officer. “This updated lineup brings together beloved favorites and new choices in a way that feels familiar, elevated and enjoyable.”
Economy fliers can also expect to see new snack options like Goldfish crackers offered all day and Peterson’s savory and sweet snack mix on afternoon and evening flights.
The carrier will continue to offer the perennially popular Biscoff cookie on its morning flights, which it suggests pairing with a cup of Lavazza coffee, also served on board.
The refreshed snack selections will be available starting in early October.
The new snack lineup is part of an ongoing push at American to elevate the in-flight dining experience with new options, like Texas barbecue from Dallas institution Pecan Lodge, which the airline added to first class menus this year.
