As companies return to the road for one of the busiest travel periods of the year and demand for premium travel has increased, American Airlines saw a surge in corporate travel bookings in August and September 2026.

From same-day customer visits to week-long international trips, business travelers require flexibility, convenience and reliable connectivity, underscoring the need to support a wide range of travel needs and deliver a premium experience.

“Fall is an important time for our corporate customers as companies reconnect with clients, bring teams together and focus on finishing the year strong,” said American’s Senior Vice President of Global Sales Lucas Martin in a statement.

He added, “We continue to see momentum from our corporate customers, and we’re focused on delivering more of what businesses and their travelers value: a strong global network, a premium travel experience, loyalty that rewards both the company and traveler and dedicated support that makes it easy to do business with American.”

Benefits for corporate travelers includes:

Small to midsized businesses: The AAdvantage Business program offers savings to the business and rewards for travelers, with companies earning one mile per eligible dollar, and travelers reaching status faster with additional Loyalty Points.

Contracted corporates: American delivers value directly to travelers through Priority access with Group 4 boarding, preferred seat access and priority during disruptions. Travel managers can take advantage of account management tools, SalesLink enhancements and more.

Travel agencies: In addition to new agency portal enhancements and reporting, American offers Flex Funds and new waivers for select markets.

With business travel continuing to grow, more companies and travelers prefer a premium experience, with American’s premium corporate travel bookings rising nearly 15% year over year during the 12-month period ending in May 2026.

American offers one of the world’s most comprehensive networks, connecting major business centers across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. The airline offers extensive service in some of the world’s most important business corridors, including up to five daily flights between New York (JFK) and London (LHR), more than 10 daily flights between JFK and Los Angeles (LAX), and up to two daily flights between LAX and LHR.

With time as the corporate traveler’s most valuable asset, American continues to invest in products and services that help customers stay productive throughout their journey, including complimentary inflight Wi-Fi sponsored by AT&T on most aircraft, premium lounges with dedicated workspaces, enhanced mobile tools and a growing fleet of next-generation aircraft designed around comfort and connectivity.

Complementing its recent debut of the premium-configured Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A321XLR, American unveiled its first retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER, offering customers their most premium travel experience yet with 70 new Flagship Suit seats with privacy doors, expanded personal storage and chaise lounge seating options. Even before boarding, customers are treated to Priority check-in, security, boarding and baggage handling and Flagship lounge access.
