American Airlines is expanding its routes this year, including the first-ever one-stop connection between Dallas-Fort Worth and Brisbane, Australia (BNE), beginning this October.
The new route to Brisbane will be the airline’s longest nonstop flight. It will fly on Boeing 787-9 aircraft featuring the airline’s 51 Flagship Suite seats and 32 Premium Economy seats.
American also has a partnership with Qantas to offer connections to four airports in Australia and New Zealand from Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Vancouver this winter.
Additionally, American will also launch new service from Dallas-Fort Worth to Veracruz this June and winter service to Rio de Janeiro and Kona, Hawai’i.
Tickets will be available for all the above flights beginning February 5, 2024.
“American is thrilled to grow our international network to give customers more ways to escape the cold next winter,” said Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning. “Together with Qantas, customers can enjoy more ways to explore new destinations across one of the most comprehensive networks connecting the United States and the South Pacific.”
The airline has been expanding its reach internationally since last year. Just in the last few months of the year, the airline applied to be the only one to fly nonstop from JFK to Tokyo, announced new flights to Tulum and announced a new codeshare agreement with Philippine Airlines.
