Travelers with tight connections in one of America’s busiest hubs will soon have an upgraded dining option for food on the go.
American Airlines is bringing its Provisions by Admirals Club lounge concept to New York JFK.
The lounge offers an elevated grab-and-go experience focusing on “premium food and beverage options without the traditional lounge stay,” the carrier says.
The space will be located in JFK’s Terminal 8 within Concourse B. It will be built to accommodate a high-traffic flow of travelers who don’t have time for an extended visit to one of the carrier’s other premium lounges in Terminal 8, which include premium lounges above gates 12 and 14 and the Admirals Club in Concourse C.
“JFK is a busy hub where our customers make a lot of connections, and this space allows us to better match the pace of our customers’ journeys,” said American’s Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden.
Within the 3,700 square-foot Provisions lounge, passengers will find quick bites, substantial meals, and the airline’s first-ever dedicated barista bar featuring hot and cold Lavazza beverages.
A self-served beverage station will offer drinks in cans and bottles that travelers can take to-go.
The lounge will serve breakfast options until 11 a.m., including pastries, yogurt, and fruit, along with more “substantial” meals, the carrier says. All-day selections will be a range of “salty snacks, sweet treats and filling meals.”
There will also be a customer service representative present in the lounge to assist travelers with any issues or requests.
The lounge’s aesthetic will be inspired by New York City, while an open layout will facilitate customers’ ability to move quickly throughout the space.
The JFK Provisions by Admirals Club will be the second location of the concept. The first outpost of the grab-and-go lounge opened in Charlotte in August 2025.
