Capital One has announced that it is debuting a new culinary-focused concept at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Called Capital One Landing, this new space brings travelers a dining experience unlike what they expect at an airport. Capital One Landing has officially opened to the public on November 19.
Capital One currently has airport lounges at IAD, DCA, DEN, with an additional location at JFK opening soon. Capital One Landing (with more locations to come) addresses airport food challenges by offering a memorable culinary experience right in the terminal.
The concept builds on the company’s partnership with Chef José Andrés and his team, which also includes Capital One Dining. This partnership allows cardholders to enjoy unique culinary experiences and exclusive reservations. Capital One collaborated with the José Andrés Group to co-create an elevated food and beverage experience in a space that has been thoughtfully designed for the airport. Highlights include:
- Customer experience: With power outlets at every seat, high-speed wifi, and luggage nooks, the space is designed for today’s travelers.
- Food and beverage offerings: Menus are curated specifically by José Andrés Group to offer an authentic taste of Spain with a unique take on tapas. Guests may order made-to-order small plates and beverages via a QR code, which will be delivered directly to their seats. The ‘On the Fly,’ quick-service restaurant offers breakfast items, sandwiches, and salads prepared for purchase that are packaged for takeaway, alongside a wide variety of snacks and beverages.
- Design elements: Landing draws on design inspiration from both Capital One Lounges and José Andrés restaurants, focusing on lush textures, warm colors, and ambient lighting alongside abstract and realist art and greenery to create a welcoming environment for travelers.
Venture X, Venture X Business, Venture, and Spark Miles cardholders enjoy access to the Capital One Landings. Venture X primary cardholders and their authorized users or account managers enjoy unlimited complimentary access to Capital One Landings, plus complimentary entry for one guest per visit—and special pricing of $45 per visit for additional guests.
