New video has emerged of a Delta Air Lines plane that
crashed during a landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport and flipped
over, leaving passengers hanging “like bats” from their seats.
According to AirLive.net,
Delta Flight DL4819 made a “hard landing” in Toronto after a journey from Minnesota,
touching down on the runway at a slight angle, likely due to the heavy winds in
the area at the time.
A first officer of an aircraft waiting to taxi at Toronto
Pearson took a video of the incident, which appears to show the Delta
Bombardier CRJ-900 striking its right wing on the runway and causing a massive
fire.
The plane then flipped upside down and slid until it stopped
in the snow. The flight, operated by Endeavor Air, boasted 76 passengers and
four crew members at the time of the accident, according to ABC
News.
Reports claim 18 people were transported to local hospitals,
with three people—including a child—suffering critical injuries. Another 12
passengers were treated for minor injuries on the scene and released.
Toronto Pearson International Airport reopened Tuesday, but delays
and cancellations are to be expected as the investigation continues.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian released a statement about the crash:

affected by today’s incident at Toronto-Pearson International Airport. I want
to express my thanks to the many Delta and Endeavor team members and the first

A Delta Air Lines flight went belly-up after crashing at a Toronto airport on Monday.
According to the New York Post, Delta Flight 4819 from Minneapolis crash-landed and flipped upside-down on a snowy airport runway at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The airport was temporarily closed following the incident.
Emergency services responded to the
crash and confirmed that all passengers and crew had been accounted for, but at least eight passengers were injured. The plane was a Bombardier CRJ-900LR, which can seat up to 88 passengers and four crew members, according to reports.
Constable Sarah Patten of the Peel Regional Police in
Ontario told Reuters, “It is my understanding that most of the passengers are
out and unharmed but we’re still trying to make sure so we’re still on scene
investigating.”
The Association of Flight Attendants union confirmed that there were “no fatalities” in the incident.
The crash occurred after a weekend winter storm brought
nearly nine inches of snow to the airport, though reportedly crews worked
overnight to clear key runways.
The incident is the first major occurrence involving a
passenger airliner since the January
29, 2025 crash between American Airlines flight 5342 and an Army Black Hawk
helicopter at Ronald Reagan International Airport in which 67 crew and passengers
died in the collision.
