If you're looking for an easy way to rack up airline miles, the new offer from American Airlines could be it.

With the AAdvantage Aviator Red World Elite MasterCard, you can score a quick 60,000 American AAdvantage miles after your first purchase. Here are the details:

-Earn 60,000 miles when you use your card for at least one purchase within the first 90 days and pay the annual fee

-Get a 10 percent rebate on your miles each year up to 10,000 miles per calendar year

-Earn 2x miles on all eligible American Airlines purchases and 1x miles on all other purchases

-Earn 3,000 Elite Qualifying Dollars after you spend $25,000 in purchases each calendar year

-Get your first checked bag free for you and up to 4 of your companions on domestic itineraries operated by American Airlines

-Preferred boarding

-No foreign transaction fees

-$95 annual fee, not waived the first year

Since most travel credit cards require you to meet a hefty minimum spending requirement before you can earn a signup bonus, this card's single purchase requirement is almost unheard of. You can spend hundreds or thousands on the card if you want, but you'll only need to buy a pack of gum and pay the $95 annual fee to pick up 60,000 American AAdvantage miles.

Cardholders can also enjoy a personalized concierge, auto rental collision damage waiver coverage, trip cancellation and interruption insurance, zero fraud liability and 25 percent savings on in-flight food and beverages.

If you're wondering how far this offer can take you, it really depends on you. Where and when you want to travel makes a huge difference in how many miles you'll fork over for an award.

Here are some of the best ways to redeem American AAdvantage miles to get the most bang for your buck:

-Redeem 45,000 American AAdvantage miles for a round-trip flight from the U.S. to Europe during off-peak travel season (October 15 - May 15)

-Use your miles to fly first class on Alaska Airlines from the continental U.S. for 60,000 American AAdvantage miles plus $11 taxes.

-You can pay 57,500 American AAdvantage miles for a one-way flight to Europe in business class on American.

-Fly round-trip to the Caribbean from the U.S. for 30,000 American AAdvantage SAAver award points.

If you're looking for an easy way to traverse the globe with miles, it doesn't get any easier than signing up for a credit card and making a single purchase. Keep in mind, however, that you'll have to pay the $95 annual fee, which is not waived, to earn the initial signup bonus.

While paying the fee can be worth it if you're ready to travel, it may be a losing proposition if you're unable to use your miles for any reason.
