Frontier Airlines announced several new nonstop routes scheduled
to debut in May and June.
The low-cost carrier is adding daily service from Newark
Liberty International Airport to Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San
Juan, Puerto Rico, starting on June 27. In addition, the airline will debut twice-daily
flights between John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City and San
Juan, beginning on June 6.
The NYC-to-San Juan route is Frontier’s
first operation from JFK.
The airline is also adding its first international route
from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, connecting Arizona to Los Cabos
International Airport in Mexico with twice-weekly service, starting on May 16.
Frontier is also launching flights between John Wayne
Airport in Orange Couty, California, and San Francisco International Airport four
times a week, beginning on July 11. To celebrate all the new routes, the
carrier is offering fares as low as $19.
Last month, Frontier revealed it would launch 17
new nonstop service routes throughout the United States and international
locations, beginning in May 2024. The airline also slashed 16 routes from its
network and cut two cities in a big route map shakeup.
Earlier this month, the carrier introduced UpFront
Plus, a new upgraded seating option with extra space and comfort in the
first two rows of the aircraft. Passengers who purchase the tickets will enjoy
a window or aisle seat with extra legroom and a guaranteed empty middle seat.
