Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines announced plans to launch
four additional routes in late spring.
As part of the expansion, Frontier will debut its first-ever
service from both Seattle Paine Field International Airport in Everett, Wash.
(PAE), and Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata, Dominican
Republic (POP).
Starting on June 2, the airline plans to launch three
flights a week from Seattle Paine Field to Denver, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. The new
service will complement Frontier’s existing offerings at Seattle-Tacoma
International Airport (SEA).
The carrier is also expanding its Caribbean service with the
launch of twice weekly, nonstop flights between Luis Muñoz Marín International
Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU), and Puerto Plata.
“We are proud to continue our rapid network growth,
providing affordable travel to more people in more places both domestically and
internationally,” Frontier Vice President Josh Flyr said.
“From the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest to the
stunning tropical paradise of the Dominican Republic, to many destinations in
between, there will be even more for budget-savvy consumers to explore this
year with Frontier,” Flyr continued.
To celebrate, Frontier is offering fares on the new routes
for as low as $29 each way when passengers book nonstop travel on select days
of the week running between June 2 and August 18. The following travel blackout
dates apply: June 28-29; and July 3, 5-6.
