Local authorities just made it easier for travelers to get from downtown Denver to Denver International Airport, USA Today reported.
The new Denver-DIA train service was launched Friday and will carry passengers from the airport to Denver's Union Station, according to USA Today.

The train makes its first trip around 4 a.m. during the week and runs every 15 minutes until almost 1:30 a.m, USA Today said. The trip is only 37 minutes long and costs $9.
"This is a major element for our growing up as a global city," Denver Mayor Michael Hancock told the newspaper.

The new train makes six stops between the airport and downtown, which are 23 miles away from each other, the newspaper said. It can carry up to 180 people at a time.
The train service was free on Friday, and passengers waited in line to try it out, according to the newspaper.
