Qatar Airways is celebrating its 10-year anniversary of U.S. service in style, lighting up New York City's Empire State Building with its signature burgundy and white color scheme.
The Doha, Qatar-based airline also announced Wednesday that it will celebrate the milestone with special offers from the U.S. as well as bonus Qmiles for its Privilege Club frequent flyer members.

The carrier launched the "10 years-10 gateways-10 days of savings" campaign Wednesday. That means through July 7, passengers can earn special savings on future flights from Qatar's 10 U.S. gateways, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
Sample discounted fares include economy class seats from Los Angeles to Johannesburg, South Africa starting at $640 for travel until March 31, 2018.
Dedicated Privilege Club Members can also earn 5,000-10,000 bonus Qmiles when they purchase qualifying tickets through July 7. On top of that, 100 members will be randomly selected and entered to win 10,000 Qmiles and a Privilege Club membership tier upgrade when they purchase a ticket by July 7, using their member number or mail in an entry.

Qatar made its U.S. debut on June 28, 2007, when it launched service to New York City. The Gulf carrier added Washington, D.C. a month later and added eight more cities in the years to come, including Los Angeles, Boston and Atlanta in 2016.
The airline will expand its presence in the U.S. next year with the addition of San Francisco and Las Vegas.
Despite Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain all cutting diplomatic ties with Qatar over the alleged funding of terror groups-a move that prohibits the airline from flying through their airspace-Qatar Airways was recently named Airline of the Year at the 2017 Skytrax World Airline Awards.
