Premium Qatar Airways customers will be happy to hear the carrier has launched a new onboard dining experience on its European routes.

The changes for passengers will include new dining menus, cutlery and chinaware meant to elevate the in-flight experience. The improved menus will feature customized dishes based on route destination in addition to traditional Middle Eastern meals available on most routes.

For Business Class travelers, Qatar will be adding new signature warm desserts and an afternoon tea experience on select routes. The changes are part of the airline's focus on the ever-expanding dietary needs of its customers.

"Qatar Airways is thrilled to introduce a whole new onboard dining experience that will push the boundaries of Premium travel for our esteemed passengers," Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker said in a statement. "Every new concept was designed and produced with the highest attention to detail and quality, to meet the exacting standards of our passengers."

Qatar will provide lighter options for passengers, including salads, berries, breakfast oatmeal and healthy drinks such as cold-pressed juice with unique flavor combinations. In First Class, the carrier is also enhancing its Caviar service.

"Qatar Airways is collaborating closely with local farms and suppliers to produce products for our specific needs, promoting a 'farm to table' approach," Al Baker continued. "Our in-flight dining menus are designed to align with the four seasons, better incorporating the use of locally-grown produce and tapping into authentic foods of local provenance delivering the very highest international standards."

Last year, Qatar launched a pre-select dining option that allows travelers in First and Business Class to select one main course from the onboard menu as far as 14 days in advance and up to 24 hours before take-off.
