Malaysia Airlines is offering full refunds for London-bound flights in wake of Saturday's deadly terrorist attack.

Three armed men launched the attack Saturday night near London Bridge, driving a van into pedestrians and stabbing numerous people in the area. The attack left seven people dead and 48 others injured.

The Asian carrier announced Sunday that it will allow customers who were scheduled to fly to London Saturday, Sunday or Monday to receive a full refund or rebook their flight without penalty.

"Any customer that wishes to cancel their London flight on June 3, 4 or 5 can get a full refund. Customers who wish to reschedule their London flights from June 3, 4 or 5 can do so with no penalty or extra payments," Malaysia Airlines said in a statement.

"Malaysia Airlines regrets the sad news of the incident in London. Our sympathies are with the family and friends of the victims," the airline also stated.

Customers are encouraged to contact Malaysia Airlines' call center or visit one of its ticketing offices for resolution.

Saturday night's attack comes less than two weeks after a suicide bomber killed 22 people at Manchester Arena and is the third incident of terror to hit the U.K. since March.

Travel insurance comparison site InsureMyTrip reported an increased demand for travel insurance on the heels of the November 2015 attacks in Paris, citing growing terrorism concerns for the spike. In wake of the latest attacks, travelers should thoroughly review their travel insurance policy, however.

"Clearly people about to travel to the UK will be concerned by what's occurred and weighing up their options: do they go or not?" Travel Insurance Direct travel expert Phil Sylvester told News.com.au.

"There are some events that, although 'unforeseen,' have limited cover under your policy or are not covered at all, and a terrorist attack falls under this."

While other airlines have encouraged customers to reach out for resolution following the latest attack in London, Malaysia Airlines is deserving of some extra kudos for relieving travelers of a potentially painful headache amid a tragic situation.
