Southwest Airlines will bolster flight service to the U.S. Virgin Islands with new nonstop service from Nashville International Airport to Cyril E. King Airport in St. Thomas, with weekly Saturday service, beginning March 13, 2027.
“We are thrilled to welcome Southwest Airlines’ announcement of new nonstop service from Nashville to St. Thomas,” said Jennifer Matarangas-King, commissioner of the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism.
Boosting Southeast Service
“This route gives travelers across Nashville and the broader Southeast a more convenient way to experience the U.S. Virgin Islands while opening the door to a market with significant growth potential,” she added.
For Southwest, the addition of the Nashville service expands the carrier’s reach in the U.S. Virgin Islands, following the debut of service to St. Thomas in February 2026.
A Growing Network
Currently, the airline offers service to St. Thomas from Orlando and Baltimore/Washington.
“The service adds another important connection to the Territory’s growing network of U.S. gateways and supports the Department of Tourism’s continued efforts to expand airlift from high-value and emerging markets,” the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism said.
