Southwest Airlines will celebrate its 54th birthday this month, but the low-cost carrier is kicking off the celebration two weeks early with its Week of WOW.
Right now, the Dallas-based airline is offering travelers up to 50 percent off base fares in addition to special promotions on cruises, hotels and car rentals.
Meanwhile, existing Southwest Rapid Rewards credit card members can earn up to 10 times the total Rapid Rewards points to make earning a coveted Companion Pass faster and easier.
Southwest customers can take advantage of discounted seats when they use promo code WOWZERS when booking select continental U.S. flights by Thursday, June 5, for travel from August 12 to December 17, 2025.
Now through Monday, June 9, Southwest Rapid Rewards card members can earn 10 points per $1 spent on Southwest purchases with their credit card on up to $500 spent. Plus, points count toward their Southwest Companion Pass.
Travelers can also earn five times the points on a minimum three-night stay or save 5,000 additional points on a stay of three nights or more booked with points through June 9.
The Week of WOW also features savings on rental cars. Now through June 9, Southwest passengers can save 30 percent on Dollar rental cars and earn 1,200 Rapid Rewards points on two or more days of rentals. Travelers must pick up from participating Dollar locations by November 30, 2025, in order to qualify.
What's more, now through July 31, 2025, customers can enter for a chance to win a grand prize of 500,000 Rapid Rewards points and a Carnival Cruise Line sailing for two or a first prize of 100,000 Rapid Rewards points.
"This month, we’re celebrating 54 years of connecting People to what’s important in their lives," Southwest's Vice President of Marketing, Jennifer Bridie, said in a statement. 'The Week of WOW offers everything you need to plan the perfect trip, along with more opportunities to earn Rapid Rewards points for future travel. We can’t wait to spend another year doing what we love most—delivering Legendary Hospitality to our customers."
