Southwest Airlines is putting fall and winter flights on sale with fares available for as low as $49 one-way.
The low-cost carrier's latest sale runs through midnight PT on August 24, so travelers have another week to take advantage.
The sale is valid for continental U.S. travel taking place between September 19, 2023, and February 14, 2024. Meanwhile, Hawaii, international, and San Juan, Puerto Rico travel is valid from September 19, 2023, through March 6, 2024.
Customers should keep in mind that travel is blacked out from December 19, 2023, through January 3, 2024. Continental U.S. travel is also blacked out from November 21 through November 22, 2023. while international travel to the continental U.S., San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii travel is also blacked out on January 16, 2024, and February 27, 2024.
What's more, the discounted seats require 30-day advance purchase.
Travelers will often find the lowest fares by booking between Southwest's various operating bases, including cities such as Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago (Midway), Dallas (Love Field), Denver, Houston (Hobby), Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville, Oakland, Orlando and Phoenix (Sky Harbor).
For example, travelers can fly from Atlanta to Orlando for as low as $59 one-way or fly nonstop between L.A. and Vegas for as low as $90 roundtrip this fall.
