Move over, Mariah. Adios, Adele...the 2017 Christmas season just found its very own holiday jam courtesy of a honey-throated siren that just happens to work at the Virgin Australia counter in the Melbourne airport.
In the video below shared with CNN.com (among many others), the employee wishes the passengers a Merry Christmas in the best way she knew how. It only took a few bars for the employee standing at the counter to realize he was witnessing something special, and the look on his face says it all.
It's more than worth a few repeat listens.
No matter what holiday you and yours are celebrating this season, it's easy to appreciate the joy and goodwill being shared by an employee who was under no obligation to do so. The airport can often be seen as a place full of drudgery and bad manners-especially in a holiday season full of hustle and bustle, cancellations and delays.
Yet, even if nowhere else, for a few moments for a few passengers, at least one airport was filled with Christmas cheer by one employee who should probably consider a career change because the whole singing thing might just work out for her.
