United Airlines will soon offer more fare options in United First on domestic routes and United Business on eligible short-haul international routes.
According to an internal memo, the base fare will be available when booking United First and United Business in the coming weeks.
The news comes nearly six months after United introduced new fare options for United Polaris and United Premium Plus customers.
Customers purchasing seats in United First and United Business on eligible routes, which include Canada and Latin America (non-Polaris), will have three choices, including base, standard and flexible fares.
Travelers will have the same onboard experience, but flexibility and certain benefits will differ based on the tier.
The base fare option offers customers the lowest price point, while the standard fare option offers benefits like free seat selection, additional checked bags and the ability to make changes.
Finally, the flexible fare option is fully refundable and offers all the benefits included in the standard fare.
